Event staff and freelancers in Luxembourg
A trade fair, congress, seminar, corporate evening or festival needs many people for a short time. Askfreelance connects organisers with hosts, entertainers, stand builders, technical managers and event project managers, free of charge.
Event roles
Reception staff and hosts, entertainers, stand builders, sound and lighting technicians, event project managers. These profiles often work alongside hospitality extras (service, bar) for receptions and dinners.
Examples of needs
- welcoming and guiding participants at a congress or fair;
- building and dismantling a stand;
- technical management of a conference or concert;
- running an area, a game or a children’s activity;
- end-to-end coordination, from suppliers to the day itself.
Which framework for which role?
Two situations arise:
- Staff supervised on site (reception, service, building under the organiser’s direction): this is generally employment. Guichet.lu lists staff employed for exhibitions, fairs, shows, congresses or seminars among the cases where a fixed-term contract can be used.
- Independent providers (a self-employed project manager, technician or entertainer who organises their own work): they invoice for their service. In Luxembourg, a regular self-employed activity generally requires a business permit.
